Kowdiar Mar Aprem Orthodox Church is a parish coming under the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
Kowdiar Mar Aprem Orthodox Church belong to the Thiruvananthapuram Dioceses.
It is located just one km away from Kowdiar and Pattom and 300 m from Kuravankonam.
Our Diocesan bishop is His Grace Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorios.
At its inception,it started as a chapel under the St George Orthodox Cathedral Palayam and became an independent church in 2003.
In 2008, the church was newly constructed and was consecrated by H H Moran Mar Baselios MarThoma Paulose II, the Catholicos of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan in the presence of H.G Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorios, H.G Dr. Zachariah Mar Theophilos and H.G Dr Yuhanon Mar Chrisostomos.
By God's grace, Kowdiar Mar Aprem Orthodox Church is now a vibrant growing community of men and women from every background and age adhering to orthodox church principles that are currently scriptural,traditional,apostolic and Eucharistic.Initially when we started, we had only 5 members and now it has grown to a 50 member congregation.
We celebrate the "Valliya Perunal" of the church every year on 22nd February and the parish day is celebrated on the last Sunday of July annually
