Tamil Cell Group

Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
The Tamil cell of the Church of Philadelphia was started in 1989 by Bro Prabhu Samson who has since gone to be with the Lord. What started as a very small group in his house has grown by the grace of God and the tireless, enthusiastic efforts of many young people who visited homes, labor camps and hospitals. Many people have come to the saving knowledge of the Lord and received baptism. Though many had to relocate for various reasons, the Lord continued to add to the group. Currently there are nearly 100 members, many of them families. Our congregation has Tamil speaking members from India and Srilanka.
We are also supporting two churches in Tamilnadu, which are the extension ministry of the Church of Philadelphia. The one in Chennai under the care of Pastor Sigamani reaches out with the good news of the gospel to the slum dwellers of the city while the other one is located in a village named Sathirakudi near Rameswaram. This church is pastored by Pr. Arockiam, ministering to the people of the village and surrounding areas bringing many out of idol worship to the living God Jesus Christ. We also financially support three widows in that village.
I’m privileged by His grace to lead this group with the help of my other two co-pastorsRev. C.S.N.Premkumar and Rev. Samuel Jacob along with elders Bro.Antony Cruz and Bro.Regis Franklin. Our main worship service is on Friday evening where we preach the undiluted Word of God. We have an anointed worship team that helps usher in His glorious presence. We extend our warm welcome to anyone who know Tamil to visit us and enjoy the love of our Lord Jesus.
