The CSI church Bahrain

The CSI church, Bahrain is the fruit of the fervent prayers of people from the Indian diaspora, particularly the state of Kerala who sought to offer rich praise to God that is most deserving of our highest worship.

Thousands of people from our diocese are living in the Gulf countries. They want to worship in their language and liturgy. So the fellowship of the members who are from CSI South Kerala resultened the formation of the Church in Bahrain. Bahrain CSI (SKD) has been formed in the year 2013. During the course of succeeding years, we could see the growth of the Bahrain CSI SKD. And the church members never forget theefforts of Mr.Prabhakaran and Mr.Vijayan those who have taken the efforts to begin a church here in Bahrain . And we remember Mr. Shaji Wilson one who allowed his house for worship in the early period. And we need to mention some of the names Mr.Suresh Kumar, Mr.Austin Lal(Dubai) and Rev.Shine Rabi; they contributed in different ways to establish this church. With grateful hearts we acknowledge the valuable contributions made by Rev.Suresh Kumar and Rev. C.M. Lawrence, during their tenure in Bahrain.And we are grateful to our Bishop Rt.Rev. A. Dharmaraj Rasalam for his guidance and support. All along, it was our Lord Almighty who had provided us with the necessary wisdom, courage and strength to work for Him.

Now we have 147 member. As a church (Bahrain CSI SKD) gathering for worship in St. Christopher’s Cathedral, Manama on every Saturday 7.30 pm to 9.00pm.
