Rev. Dr. L. Peter Ravikumar is the Chairman & Pastor of Pavanasar Lutheran Church. He was the Director and Dean of the Department of Communication and the Luther Studies in the Tamil Nadu Theological College. He graduated from the Serampore University. Further he pursued his Masters and Doctorate in Divinity research in the field of communication and media education. While teaching in the college he earned his Ph.D Degree in the subject Journalism and Mass Communication from the Madurai Kamaraj University. He is teaching in the Department of Communication and Mass Media. He has attended and presented papers in many regional, national and international seminars, and conferences. He has also published research articles and guided scholars immensely in his field. He was instrumental in establishing regular video and photographic training for students in college. He talks about ethical and social responsibility of journalism and media in the present Indian context. Recently he received a D.Lit Degree from the International Economic SAARC University in Maldives, for his social spiritual services in various departments. He is a member of the International Communication Association – US, and the Media club in Madurai. He is on an Editorial Committee in the Somzodhana International Bilingual Quarterly Journal.
