Rev. Abraham Kuruvilla (Manu Achen) was ordained as a priest of the Mar Thoma Church in 2006. Before becoming the vicar of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church of Delaware Valley, he has served in various parishes across Kerala and Bangalore. He was the Assistant Secretary of Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam which involved ministry among the youth.
Achen has a Masters in Systematic Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey (USA). He has authored a devotional book titled “Encounters,” and a research book titled “Eastern and Reformed”. Achen is an itinerant preacher and focuses on leading children and young couples towards Christ.
Achen is married to Ann Cherian. She was a member of Epiphany Mar Thoma Church, New York. With a masters degree in Public Health from NYU, she has worked as an intern at UN and as a research scientist at CMC Vellore. Ann Kochamma, currently working in Philadelphia, is an eloquent speaker. She is an integral part of Manu Achen’s ministry, especially among the youth. They are blessed with a son, Andrew Rael Abraham.
