Born and brought up in a Pentecostal family in Ranni, Kerala, Pastor Abraham accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior when he was eight years old, and he was filled with the Holy Spirit and took water baptism at the age of 16.
Pastor Abraham had the desire for the ministry even from his childhood. While he and his wife, Leelamma, were working in Saudi Arabia, God called them for the ministry. They left their jobs and came back to India and joined the Assemblies of God Bethel Bible College in Kerala. After graduating Bible College, Pastor Abraham pioneered several Assemblies of God churches in Kottayam, Puthupally, and Vakathanum. After eight years of pastoral ministry in Kerala, Pastor V.P. Abraham and his family migrated to the United States of America in 1996. From 1997 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2016, he was the Pastor of Chattanooga Christian Assembly. In 2009, he started a ministry in Alpharetta, Georgia and founded Georgia Christian Assembly (affiliated to Church of God Full Gospel in GA). Pastor also ministered in Kottayam Assemblies of God Church and in various places in North India. He has travelled to many nations, including South Africa, Guatemala, Trinidad, and several Middle East countries to proclaim the gospel in the unreached areas.
During his 30 years of ministry, God added many souls to the Kingdom of God and many took water baptism. God confirmed Pastor Abraham’s ministry through various miracles and signs. His ministry was successful through fasting, prayer, and preaching the true word of God. Pastor Abraham continues to have a passion to reach the unreached and continue to spread the love of God to those around him.
Pastor Abraham and his wife, Leelamma, have been married for 42 years and have been blessed with 4 children: Lincy, Linson, Liju, and Libin. Pastor Abraham and Sis. Leelamma also have 8 grandchildren. Pastor Abraham’s eldest son, Linson Abraham is currently serving on the ministry team at Bethany Full Gospel Assembly in Dallas, TX. Also, Libin Abraham is the campus Pastor at Sugar Creek Church in Houston, TX.
Pastor V.P. Abraham took the leadership role as the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church of God early in 2018.
