Rev. Roshen Valyathu Mathews, Son of Rev. Mathews Mathunny, hails from Cherukole Mar Thoma Church, Mavelikkara. He belongs to the Valyathu Family. His father Rev. Mathews Mathunny is a retired clergy of the marthoma church. His mother is Rachel Mathews, who belongs to the Chiramel Family, Thalavady. He has a brother, Robin V Mathews, who is a graphic designer and he is married to Jeny John.
He did his BA in English Literature at Mar Thoma College Thiruvalla. He completed his Bachelors in Divinity from United Theological College, Bangalore and was ordained on August 10, 2009.
Parishes served before : From 2009 onwards He served as the Students Chaplain in Salem, Tamilnadu. He was also the vicar of Mar Thoma Church, Salem. He served as the missionary of Salem Mission & Pondicherry Mission. He was transferred in 2012 to Konni Centre at St.Thomas M.T.C, Muthupezhunkal & Vakayar Christhose and served from 2012 -2016. He was then transferred to Pathanamthita Centre at St. Thomas MTC, Puthenpeedika & Ebenezer MTC, V.Kottayam.
